waybill – privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-10-09

Who operates waybill

waybill is operated by Christian Ruppert for his own, personal use. It is a self-hosted tool with exactly one user: its operator.

What data is accessed

With the Google Drive permission (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive) waybill reads file and folder metadata (names, sizes, checksums, modification times) and file contents of the operator's own Google Drive accounts, and may copy, move or export those files on the operator's explicit instruction.

How the data is used and stored

The data is used solely to build a file catalogue and to mirror the operator's files onto the operator's own storage. All data stays on hardware owned and controlled by the operator. Nothing is shared with, sold to or disclosed to third parties, and no data is used for advertising, profiling or training.

Google API Services User Data Policy

waybill's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

Cached data is kept as long as the operator keeps the catalogue. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; the stored refresh token is then useless and is deleted.
